Encanto
Location: London
Age: 18 month
Species: African Pygmy Hedgehog
About: Arrival date 15/10/25. Encanto is really easy to handle and well socialised, so is suitable for any experience level. He is quite sensitive to change, he does not like his enclosure moved around. He prefers bugs over his kibble and does not like his vegetables. He is a very inquisitive and friendly little guy.
Suitable for: Any
Price: - £60

Under Observation
Lucas
Location: Thorton-Cleveleys
Age: 2.5
Species: African Pygmy Hedgehog
About: Arrival date 19/7/25. Lucas was handed in needing some extra special care. He is currently being treated for an eye infection, respiratory problems, mites and skin /quills issues related to the mites. The good news is that his quills are starting to grow back. He has almost finished his course of antibiotics for his respiratory infection and is on his second treatment for mites. He is having Imevarol baths just in case there's an underlying fungal infection, good kibble mix, and wider variety of bugs now. He is definitely heading in the right direction now. He is still bit huffy, but a much happier boy, and is loving his new wheel.
His foster carer renamed him Lucas as it is derived from the Latin word 'lucere' , meaning "to shine". We are hoping he will get his chance to shine and find love once he is fully recovered.

Oreo
Location: Diss
Age: Estimated 1-2 years
Species: African Pygmy Hedgehog
About: Joined Happy Quills 29/11/25. Oreo was found wandering the streets. Judging by her condition she had not been outside very long. We do not know her exact age, but judging her on a number of factors we think she is around the age of 1, possibly younger, but definitely not older than 2. She is understandly quite nervous at the moment, so we are awaiting for her personality to shine through so we can determine who she would be suitable for. No health conditions noted.
