The following animals are all available for adoption/ currently undergoing their observation period to see if suitable for adoption . For more details on each animal and to apply for adoption scroll down below.
Please note to adopt one of our lovely hedgehogs or tenrecs there is an adoption donation of £90 for those under 6 months, £70 for those under 12 months old, £60 for those over 12 months and £40 for our Golden Oldies (4 years + APH only). For Long Eared hedgehogs the adoption donation is set at £100. This donation allows for the rescue to intake more hedgehogs and tenrecs in need and allow essential veterinary access to those who need it.

About: Arrival date 15/2/26. Enzo huffs and spikes a bit when first awoken (who doesn't?) but now he is settling into his new foster home, he is enjoying cuddles. He loves his wheel, often whelling 6-8 hours a night. He hates beds, he has to sleep under a blanket. Had never tried bugs before his foster home, he now practically inhales any kind, his favourite being wax worms.
Suitable for: Preferably someone with experience not put off by the occasional huff.

About: Arrival date 23/12/25. Ivy is a very sweet and friendly little girl. She is a good climber and is quick on her feet. Within 24 hours of arriving she went back into deep torpor, so she will not be available until this ends.

Miley
Location: Nottingham
Age: 1.5 years old
Species: APH
About: Arrival date 14/2/26. Miley has joined Happy Quills needing a little TLC as she had a sore foot. A vet appointment found a tiny hair cutting off her circulation that was invisible to the naked eye. The hair has now been removed and the vet has given her a clean bill of health.
Miley likes a little huff, but is happy to chill out on her foster carers knee for hours. She is a prolific wheeler, even her foot injury did not stop her. She loves wax worms, is not keen on crickets or locusts, but her foster carer is persevering in offering different bugs to tempt her.

About: Joined Happy Quills 12/3/26. Petal is another petite little hog. She needs some TLC before available to adopt, needs to put on some weight and get rid of her tatty ears, however these should be easily rectified. Detests a bath. Is a real fidget pants, cannot sit still for a minute.

About: Arrival date 1/1/2026. Ethan is so named due to his Mission Impossible stunts he likes to perform around his enclosure. He hates nail trims and has a tendency to go in for the chomp when trimming attempted. Ethan has come out of torpor and shows no signs of going back into it, enjoying wiling his time away on his wheel instead. He will be available to adopt soon.
